David V. Ward, Ph.D. is Professor of Philosophy at Widener University, where he has been employed since 1980. He was awarded his Ph.D. in philosophy in 1979 by Temple University. His dissertation, Considerations on the Identity of Material Objects Through Time, is available from Bell&Howell; use order number 1188637. He has published in a variety of areas, including identity theory, biomedical issues such as surrogate motherhood and new reproductive technologies; and issues in political philosophy, including affirmative action, multiculturalism, and international interventions on behalf of human rights.
