Enlightenment will host its first online academic conference in JANUARY, 2001. The goal of the conference is to allow professional-level interaction on philosophical topics in preparation for submission to other venues (such as journals, dissertation committees, the APA, etc.). The expected participants will be professional philosophers or graduate students in philosophy. Limited space for additional audience members will be available.
Submissions will only be accepted electronically, and must be in either plain text or html format. The tentative size limit is 10,000 words, though this figure may be negotiable; please explain the need for greater length before sending submissions. Papers will be peer-reviewed, and, if accepted, will be posted on the site for general viewing by November 15th.
The deadline for submissions is October 15th, to allow time for peer review. Revisions to accepted papers (if they are infrequent!) may be posted after November 15th. Please ask before sending any revision.
Questions and submissions should be directed to Carolyn Ray.
